‘WHAT’S YOUR NEED’ is the latest track from talented Trinidadian-American multi-instrumentalist FISHLORD. It marks a transition into a new sound from the rebranded artist, with a blend of nu-metal and contemporary drum and bass creating something raw, emotive and unique. It begins with melodic, introspective lyrics that quickly crescendo into a punchy chorus defined by screamed vocals and a half-time call-and-response breakdown. He explains that “this track will always be special to me because it was my first time doing screaming vocals. I grew up listening to a lot of metal and screamo music and had always wanted to do something like that, but never really sat down to learn the technique to practise it.
